Bob Mahan (Robert Cullen Mahan) was born on February 6, 1904 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. After going to high school at Emmetsburg (IA), Mahan attended Drake University and Washington University in St. Louis. Mahan made his professional debut in the NFL in 1929 with the Buffalo Bisons. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Buffalo Bisons over the course of his 2 year career.
