Born on March 15, 1938 in George, Iowa, Bob Locker (Robert Awtry Locker) played for the Chicago White Sox, Seattle Pilots, Oakland Athletics, Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 10 year career. Locker broke into the bigs on April 14, 1965 with the Chicago White Sox, and put up a 3.15 ERA in 91.1 innings pitched in 1965, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bob Locker's best season was 1967, when he posted a 2.09 ERA, notched 20 saves and struck out 80 batters.
