Bob Edler (Robert Karl Edler) was born on August 29, 1897 in Galion, Ohio. After going to high school at Galion (OH), Edler attended Ohio Wesleyan University. Edler made his professional debut in the NFL in 1923 with the Cleveland Indians. He played for the Cleveland Indians for his entire 1 year career.
