Bob Dillinger (Robert Bernard Dillinger) was born on September 17, 1918 in Glendale, California. He made his Major League debut on April 16, 1946 for the St. Louis Browns. In 1946, his rookie year, he hit .280 with 0 home runs and 11 RBI. Dillinger played for the St. Louis Browns, Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Athletics and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that Bob Dillinger's best season was 1948, when he stole 28 bases and hit for a .321 average.
