Bob Butler (Robert Douglas Butler) was born on October 27, 1940 in Madisonville, Kentucky. After going to high school at Madisonville (KY), Butler attended the University of Kentucky. Butler made his professional debut in the NFL in 1962 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Philadelphia Eagles the entire time. Butler also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the New York Jets the entire time.
