Billy Van Heusen (William Proctor Van Heusen) was born on August 27, 1946 in New Rochelle, New York. After going to high school at Mamoroneck (NY), Van Heusen attended the University of Maryland. Van Heusen made his professional debut in the AFL in 1968 with the Denver Broncos. He played in the AFL for 2 years, playing for the Denver Broncos the entire time. Van Heusen also played in the NFL for 7 years, playing for the Denver Broncos the entire time.

Most people believe that 1974 was Billy Van Heusen's best year, as he caught 4 TD passes and had a 40.3 yard punt average.
