Billy Stacy (Billy McGovern Stacy) was born on July 30, 1936 in Drew, Mississippi. After going to high school at Winona (MS), Stacy attended Mississippi State University. Stacy made his professional debut in the NFL in 1959 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cardinals over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1961 was Billy Stacy's best year, as he picked off 4 passes, ran back 2 interceptions for touchdowns and ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
