Billy Sims (Billy Ray Sims) was born on September 18, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri. After going to high school at Hooks (TX), Sims attended the University of Oklahoma. Sims made his professional debut in the NFL in 1980 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1980 was Billy Sims's best year, as he ran for 1303 yards, ran in 13 TDs, hauled in 51 receptions and had 621 receiving yards.
