Bill Wegener (William Leslie Wegener) was born on October 31, 1939. After going to high school at Lafayette County (Higginsville, MO), Wegener attended the University of Missouri. Wegener made his professional debut in the AFL in 1962 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers for his entire 2 year career.
