Bill Mueller (William Richard Mueller, pron "Miller") was born on March 17, 1971 in Maryland Heights, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on April 18, 1996 for the San Francisco Giants. In 1996, his rookie year, he hit .330 with 0 home runs and 19 RBI. Mueller played for the San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Bill Mueller's best season was 2003, when he slugged 19 home runs, hit for a .326 average and knocked in 85 runs, winning the American League batting title.
