Bill Cregar (William Osmund Cregar) was born on May 2, 1925 in Newark, New Jersey. After going to high school at Frank H. Morrell (Irvington, NJ), Cregar attended Holy Cross College. Cregar made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1948 was Bill Cregar's best year.
