Bill Cowher (William Laird Cowher) was born on May 8, 1957 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Carlynton (Crafton, PA), Cowher attended North Carolina State University. Cowher made his professional debut in the NFL in 1980 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1983 was Bill Cowher's best year.
