[edit] Biography

Born on October 1, 1948 in Glendale, California, Bill Bonham (William Gordon Bonham) played for the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 10 year career. Bonham broke into the bigs on April 7, 1971 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 4.65 ERA in 60 innings pitched in 1971, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Bill Bonham's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1974, when he posted a 3.86 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 191 batters. However, others believe that it was 1973, when he posted a 3.02 ERA and struck out 121 batters.
