Bill Acker (William Berry Acker, Jr.) was born on November 7, 1956 in Freer, Texas. After going to high school at Freer (TX), Acker attended the University of Texas. Acker made his professional debut in the NFL in 1980 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1980 was Bill Acker's best year.
