Bernie Parrish (Bernard Paul Parrish) was born on April 29, 1936 in Long Beach, California. After going to high school at P.K. Yonge Laboratory (Gainesville, FL), Parrish attended the University of Florida. Parrish made his professional debut in the NFL in 1959 with the Cleveland Browns. He played in the NFL for 7 years, playing for the Cleveland Browns the entire time. Parrish also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Houston Oilers the entire time.

Most people believe that 1960 was Bernie Parrish's best year, as he picked off 6 passes and ran back an interception for a touchdown.
