Bernie Digris (Bernard J. Digris) was born on June 9, 1919 in Union City, New Jersey. After going to high school at Ansonia (CT) and St. John's Prep (Danvers, MA), Digris attended Holy Cross College. Digris made his professional debut in the NFL in 1943 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 1 year career.
