Born on November 24, 1967 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Ben McDonald (Larry Benard McDonald) played for the Baltimore Orioles and Milwaukee Brewers over the course of his 9 year career. McDonald broke into the bigs on September 6, 1989 with the Baltimore Orioles, and put up a 2.43 ERA in 118.2 innings pitched in 1990, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ben McDonald's best season was 1993, when he posted a 3.39 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 171 batters.
