BellSouth Classic

The BellSouth Classic is a regular golf tournament on the PGA Tour. It is played annually in May in Duluth, Georgia. Since 1997 the tournament has been held on the course at the TPC of Sugarloaf. BellSouth is the main sponsor of the tournament.

The 2006 purse was $5,300,000, with $954,000 going to the winner. The tournament, in recent years, is often played the week before The Masters, and therefore, usually gives an increased amount of sponsor's exemptions for international players who will play in Augusta. With the overhaul of the PGA Tour's schedule due to the introduction of the FedEx Cup, this trend will likely subside.

From the event's inception until 1996 it was played at Atlanta Country Club in Marietta, Georgia. Since then, it has been played over the Stables and Meadows Courses at the TPC at Sugarloaf in Duluth, Georgia.
