Beau Bell (Roy Chester Bell) was born on August 20, 1907 in Bellville, Texas. He made his Major League debut on April 16, 1935 for the St. Louis Browns. In 1935, his rookie year, he hit .250 with 3 home runs and 17 RBI. Bell played for the St. Louis Browns, Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 7 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Beau Bell's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1937, when he hit for a .340 average and knocked in 117 runs. However, others believe that it was 1936, when he hit for a .344 average and knocked in 123 runs.
