Basil Wilkerson (Basil Glenn Wilkerson) was born on January 22, 1907 in Duncan, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Duncan (OK), Wilkerson attended Oklahoma City University. Wilkerson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1932 with the Staten Island Stapletons. He played for the Cincinnati-St. Louis Reds-Gunners and Staten Island Stapletons over the course of his 2 year career.
