Babe Borton (William Baker Borton) was born on August 14, 1888 in Marion, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on September 2, 1912 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1913, his rookie year, he hit .191 with 0 home runs and 24 RBI. Borton played for the Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees, St. Louis Terriers and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that Babe Borton's best season was 1915, when he hit for a .286 average and knocked in 83 runs.
