Az-zahir Hakim (Az-zahir Ali Hakim) was born on June 3, 1977 in Los Angeles, California. After going to high school at Fairfax (Los Angeles, CA), Hakim attended San Diego State University. Hakim made his professional debut in the NFL in 1998 with the St. Louis Rams. He has played for the St. Louis Rams, Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that 1999 was Az-zahir Hakim's best year, as he hauled in 36 receptions, had 677 receiving yards, caught 8 TD passes, had 461 punt return yards and ran back a punt for a touchdown.
