Austin Gonsoulin (Austin William Gonsoulin) was born on June 7, 1938 in Port Arthur, Texas. After going to high school at Thomas Jefferson (Port Arthur, TX), Gonsoulin attended Baylor University. Gonsoulin made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Denver Broncos. He played in the AFL for 7 years, playing for the Denver Broncos the entire time. Gonsoulin also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the San Francisco 49ers the entire time.
Most people believe that 1960 was Austin Gonsoulin's best year, as he picked off 11 passes.
