Mike Tannenbaum Expects Pennington Back in 2008

As reported on nfl.com, Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum expects Chad Pennington to be back in a Jets uniform in 2008. He does plan to entertain offers, but expects Chad back. Tannenbaum bases this on the fact that he is still under contract, and the Jets being in good shape financially so he likely won't need a pay cut. Here is Tannenbaum's quote:

"We're comfortably under the cap right now," Tannenbaum said. "So I don't see the economics driving any decision right now with him being here or not being here."

This beat reporter still doesn't see it, but now we have evidence that Chad will be back competing with Kellen Clemens in 2008.
