Anthony Gargano of WIP Radio in Philadelphia is reporting that Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison is accused of being involved in a recent shooting at a bar he owns in that city. ESPN is reporting that the incident allegedly took place Tuesday night, April 29, at a North Philadelphia bar called "Playmakers." Authorities are investigating whether Harrison was the actual shooter.
Harrison allegedly was escorting a man from his bar when a scuffle broke out between the two. Witnesses on the scene report that Harrison dealt with the trouble-maker handily and that Harrison "had hands like a ninja". As they were leaving the bar, shots rang out. Harrison, known as a quiet and hard-working wideout, is said to be cooperating with police. Authorities are analyzing ballistics from the scene, where one person, and possibly two, was struck.
Marvin Harrison owns 10 licensed and registered handguns. The handgun involved is reported to be a .50 caliber, 7-shot automatic. No word on whether or not the gun is a Colt.
