My name's Romi Ezzo and I'm a huge sports fan. My favorite thing in the world is baseball, and hopefully, I can become someone involved in sports, whether it's being a sports writer, an analyst, a commentator, or a player (my ultimate dream is to become a baseball player). I like to play baseball, basketball, football, and soccer (when I feel like it). My favorite baseball players are Derek Jeter (even though I'm a Red Sox fan), Dustin Pedroia, Jacoby Ellsbury, Ichiro, Vlad Guerrero, Jonathan Papelbon, David Ortiz, and Troy Tulowitzki (in that order). My favorite basketball players are Dwight Howard, Kevin Garnett, Amare Stoudemire, Chris Paul, Steve Nash, and Dwyane Wade. I don't really have a favorite player in the NFL, because I just started following it a couple of years ago. I'm a New England fan, which means that I love the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins. - FYI, the "situation part" (the part that states the score) is the score after the home run is it.
- And, on a second note, the first part of the score is the score of the home run hitter's team. The second number represents the opponent's team.
Notes:
Carlos Pena of the Tampa Bay Rays stands alone now, as he is now the only person in the Major Leagues who has hit 6 home runs so far. 5 other players are tied for second place with 5 home runs. Mark Reynolds (Arizona Diamondbacks) and Mike Jacobs (Florida Marlins) still have 5 homers, however, Justin Upton (Arizona Diamondbacks), Raul Ibanez (Seattle Mariners), and Bill Hall (Milwaukee Brewers) each hit their 5th home runs yesterday.
Jeff Francis of the Colorado Rockies is still in the lead for the most home runs surrendered so far this season with 6. Bronson Arroyo (Cincinnati Reds), Brett Myers (Philadelphia Phillies, and Roy Oswalt (Houston Astros) still have 5 home runs surrendered. The freshly added pitchers on the list for surrendering 5 homers are Jason Bergmann (Washington Nationals) and Todd Wellemeyer (St. Louis Cardinals).

And the Homer of the Day of April 11, 2008, belongs to...
After a four way (2 vote) tie between Pat Burrell of the (Philadelphia Phillies), J.D. Drew (Boston Red Sox), Jason Giambi (New York Yankees), and Jeremy Hermida (Florida Marlins), J.D. Drew finally won the tiebreaker
This home run was not a game winning homer, neither was it even in the late innings of the game. This home run was the difference maker in what could have been a perfect game by New York Yankees' Chien-Ming Wang. There was no one on with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning, and Wang was in the zone retiring his first 14 batters. Drew was up at the plate with the score being 1-0 (in favor of the Yankees) and the count being 1-0. With a fastball right over the plate, Drew drove one in right-center field. Bobby Abreu moved back and was at the short fence in front of the Red Sox bullpen. He was not able to catch the ball, and Drew broke what would've been a perfect game by Wang. Yes, he pitched a two-hitter, but the second hit was on a bunt by leadoff hitter Coco Crisp. It was good thing (for the Red Sox and their fans) that Drew reluctantly hit that home run; if he hadn't, we would never have heard the end of the Red Sox/Yankees game that happened on April 11, 2008.
