Art Jones (Arthur Edward Jones, Jr.) was born on June 13, 1919 in Farmville, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Suffolk (VA), Jones attended the University of Richmond. Jones made his professional debut in the NFL in 1941 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1941 was Art Jones's best year, as he ran in 4 TDs and picked off 7 passes.
