Art Carney (Arthur Gerald Carney) was born on September 23, 1900 in New York, New York. After going to high school at Alexander Hamilton (Brooklyn, NY), Carney attended United States Naval Academy. Carney made his professional debut in the NFL in 1925 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 2 year career.
