The ArmchairGM NFL Hall of Fame polls are now open! As no one seemed to dislike my idea of ranking the top 5 players ever at each position as the initial voting idea, I decided to go ahead with it. Each individual poll can be accessed using the navigator at the top of this screen. Alternately, users can go to the "Community Portal" section of the site and vote there.
Some quick notes:
- Users may have a hard time finding the 5 best players of all time at positions like FB, C, OLB, S and the two kicking positions. This is to be expected, and I think that it only represents that fewer players, rather than more players, will eventually appear that this position once a second stage of voting starts.
- If a player appears in the poll at two different positions (i.e. Chuck Bednarik at center and linebacker, or Aeneas Williams at cornerback and safety), the total number of votes will be added (taking the highest ranking vote from users who ranked them multiple times) and considered using the standard criteria (see the voting pages).
