Archie upset following Colts’ victory

Sure, the Colts winning a big game was pretty surprising. However, what may have been even more shocking was the look of anger and frustration on the face of… Archie Manning.

Many were wondering what was wrong with the ex-‘Aint when he tossed a chair through a press box window after Brady’s interception in the RCA Dome, nearly taking Tony Dungy’s head off and leaving only one black coach to go to the Super Bowl.

Apparently, Manning had already booked his Sunday morning tee time at Pebble Beach for February 4th in the anticipation that his son would naturally choke again against the Pats. Manning apologized for his actions this afternoon saying, “I was utterly shocked by Peyton’s performance on Sunday. I already had my once-in-a-lifetime tee time booked at Pebble and when Peyton pulled that one out of his rear, I may have over-reacted to the news of my pending missed tee time, and I apologize. Funny how Peyton seems to have ice-water in his veins and Eli just has 23% alcohol in his. Peyton must’ve gotten that from his mother…”

On a side note, Archie also stated off the record that he was ready to demand that Eli be traded to New Orleans for the 2007 season.

Do you really think I'd publish a fake story, exploiting Archie's disbelief of his own son's abilities?

I'm not disappointed, but at least I'm funny!

I know you're a Pats fan. BUT, It's ok to just take the loss and let others enjoy the moment.

It's called comeuppance. Remember how Yankees fans treated you BoSox fans for years? That's how Colts fans feel, except they're from the midwest where people have "feelings", so they've earned this and deserve it.

I don't mind you ripping on Archie (and/or Eli), but why can't everyone stop shitting on Peyton's parade? Is he such a bad guy? No. He tries hard, EVERYONE in the game respects him thoroughly and he's an all-time talent who's gonna destroy records.

Or do I need to go all "2004 clap, clap, clap-clap-clap!!!"???

Nowhere did I come out and bash Peyton Manning's performance in that game. He played an excellent game and beat my team. I respect that and in fact I have nothing but respect for Peyton Manning. This is just making fun of his lack of big-game play in the past and the way he and his prior teams have choked once the pressure was turned up, which you can't deny is true. If I were a Colts fan, this wouldn't be offensive at all. If I were Archie or Eli, then it might be a little offensive...

Boston is the worst sports city in the world. The fans are clumsy, ignorant, disgusting and just plain filthy.

Hey, I resent th . . . . oops sorry I just dropped my keyboard into a sheet cake I was eating so I had to lick it off. But it splattered all over my jeans that I haven't washed in a month. Sorry, lost my train of thought. Were we talking about how Brady dominated the AFC Championship?

Best comment was whent CBS showed a shot of Eli Manning watching his brother win the game on Sunday, with the comment that Eli was showing "subtle emotion."
