Acquired:
Traded to Toronto from Hamilton in exchange for import receiver Frank Murphy on December 18, 2007.
2007:
Dressed in 9 games and started 4…Week 9, made his 2007 debut and earned the start rushing for 43 yards on 10 carries on Labour Day vs Toronto…Week 17, started and recorded the first 100-yard game of his career (21/10/07) when he rushed for 127 yards on 14 carries in loss at Saskatchewan.
2006:
Started two games and dressed in four…Missed seven games due to knee injury…Week 6, made Ticats and CFL debut (20/07/06) loss to Montreal and carried three times for 12 yards with 1 catch for 10 yards…Week 14, made first CFL start and scored first career touchdown (16/09/06) at running back and had 13 carries for 54 yards and one touchdown 27-22 win over Edmonton…Week 18, made second career start in loss to B.C. and rushed 9 times for 31 yards.
2005:
The Indianapolis Colts selected Davis in the seventh round (243rd overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft...attended training camp and played in four games during the pre-season...had eight carries for 13 yards and two receptions for seven yards...was released on August 30th...the Colts subsequently signed Davis to their practice roster on September 20th...after spending four games with Indianapolis he was released on October 18th.
College:
Played four seasons (2001-04) with the University of Wisconsin Badgers...in 40 (38 starts) games played during his Badger career Davis had carries 908 times (second-most in school history) for 4,676 yards (5.15 yards per carry and 116.9 yards per game) and 42 touchdowns (third-most in school history).
Personal:
Born May 21st, 1982 in Plainfield, New Jersey...guardians are Humphrey and Marjorie Davis...attended Plainfield (N.J.) High School, playing for coach Clint Jones...rushed for 1,577 yards (9.2 avg) and 21 touchdowns as a senior...was the recipient of the high school Heisman Award (making the tri-state's honour team) and was a two-time all-state pick...named to Prep Football Report, SuperPrep and Prep Star all-region teams...also excelled in track, winning the state championship in the 200 meters (21.5 seconds), and competed in the 100 meters (10.6 seconds) and the long jump (21-foot-2).
