Anthony Adams (Anthony Adanms, Jr.) was born on August 18, 1980 in Detroit, Michigan. After going to high school at Martin Luther King (Detroit, MI), Adams attended Pennsylvania State University. Adams made his professional debut in the NFL in 2003 with the San Francisco 49ers. He has played for the San Francisco 49ers for his entire 4 year career.
The San Francisco 49ers drafted Adams as the 57th overall selection of the 2003 NFL Draft. He was used sparingly on the 49ers defense. During his tenure with the 49ers, he amassed 155 tackles and six sacks in 58 career games with 34 starts. The Chicago Bears signed Adams during the 2007 season, following the loss of defensive lineman Ian Scott, Alfonso Boone, and possible absence of Tank Johnson and Tommie Harris.
