Angus Reid
[edit] BiographyAcquired: Traded to BC by Montreal in July 2001 (along with a 5th round pick in exchange for Adriano Belli). 2006: Started at centre for all 18 regular season games as well as the West Championship and Grey Cup. 2005: Started all 18 regular season games as well the 2005 West Championship game vs Edmonton. 2004: Named to the West Division All-Star Team for the first time in his career. CFL Lineman of the Week in Week #7. Notable: Angus has now been the club’s starting centre for five straight seasons which includes 90 regular season games, five playoff games and two Grey Cups. College: Attended Simon Fraser University where he was selected as an All American and still holds many of the school's strength records. Personal: Reid played high school football for Vancouver College and later, Simon Fraser University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts. Reid is undoubtedly one of the busiest players on the team. Spending much of his time running his promotional printing business, A&D Solutions, he also travels around the province during the off season with the Esteem Team, giving motivational presentations to youth. Reid is actively involved with all of the BC Lions charitable programs, including Read, Write, and Roar!, Lions in the House, and Punt, Pass, and Kick. When he finds spare time, Reid enjoys weightlifting, playing basketball, reading, and drawing. Reid has four older brothers and one younger sister. His oldest brother Mark was a long snapper for the BC Lions during the 1990 season. Reid currently lives with his wife Izabela in his hometown of Richmond, BC.
