Andre Tippett (Andre Bernard Tippett) was born on December 27, 1959 in Birmingham, Alabama. After going to high school at Barringer (Newark, NJ), Tippett attended the University of Iowa. Tippett made his professional debut in the NFL in 1982 with the New England Patriots. He played for the New England Patriots for his entire 11 year career.
Most people believe that 1985 was Andre Tippett's best year, as he recorded 16.5 sacks, recovered 4 opponents fumbles and ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
