Allie Sherman (Alexander Sherman) was born on February 10, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York. After going to high school at Boys (Brooklyn, NY), Sherman attended Brooklyn College. Sherman made his professional debut in the NFL in 1943 with the Philadelphia/Pittsburgh. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia/Pittsburgh over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1946 was Allie Sherman's best year.
