All time University of Arizona Baseball team

Well just as fashions come back I've decided to bring back the All-Time Teams, also I thought we could do with an article that didn't have to do with the Yankees or everyone's annoyance with Pnatt.

So without further ado the all time University of Arizona Baseball team:

Catcher: Ron Hassey - The only man to ever catch two perfect games.

First Base: J.T. Snow - Perennial Gold Glover. MVP in 1997.

Second Base: Chip Hale - Manager of the year in Triple A, would provide good leadership on the field.

Third Base: Jack Howell - Confirmed that the ball was juiced when he hit a broken bat homer in Yankee Stadium.

Short Stop: Eddie Leon - Was an All American at the U of A (this is the only guy who is on the team because of what he did with the college).

Left Field: Brian Anderson - Young outfielder who shows promise with the White Sox.

Center Field: Kenny Lofton - Well, what do you need to know he is almost 40 and has over 30 SBs.

Right Field: John Moses - A fast base-runner and a great defender.

SP 1: Scott Erickson - Pitched a No-Hitter and lost to only Roger Clemens in the 1991 Cy Young awards.

SP2: Craig Lefferts - Even though for the majority of his career he was a reliever he did start quite a few games.

SP3: Gil Heredia - He was the best I could find. But he'd do a damn good job anyways.

Closer: Trevor Hoffman: ALL TIME MLB SAVES LEADER!

Manager: Terry Francona: He broke the Curse of the Bambino.

Seriously, the All-Time ASU team would whoop this tem's ASS! (I love stoking the flames of the UofA/ASU rivalry)

nah... ASU has no pitchers, and even if you have the best offensive lineup ever, pitching wins...

Gil Heredia- He was the best I could find. I wonder how many times he's heard some version of that phrase in his life.

Ya well the U of A doesn't produce many SP's. And he's not one anyways.

Pnatt I have been defending you but maybe hatred was a bit strong and I guess I'll change it.

Yeah I know you've been defending you and thanks. I can understand why people would get pissed about my crusade to change American sports.

Yeah stickball is the national pastime here in the outback. The players from the winning team all get a meat pie, a free beer, and a shrimp on the barbie if they win.

No offense but it's pretty easy to say that things need to be changed if you're a baseball fan!!

Pnatt, baseball is about history, lore and tradition. Not about making sense or following conventional thought or modernization. THAT's what makes baseball great! It doesn't NEED to change, it's uniquely perfect in it's own foiblish way.

Sit and think about how long it took them to figure out 60 feet 6 inches was just the right distance to throw a 5 and 1/2 ounce ball of leather covered yarn, hit it with a round bat and run 90 feet and it comes out to bang-bang plays ALL the time!

Trying to make sense of everything doesn't always make sense

Ohh and at the start of the game instead of tossing a coin we have to guess which of the referee's hands has the knife and the spoon!!

hell, write a story up like that and if I believe it or not, I'll enjoy it more than another 'crusade'... There's already too many serious moments in life... why make more? Fun is always fun. Even if it's ficticious fun...

I think you might be right about football being stupid. Again I talk about things that are out of subject.
