Alex Loyd (Edgar Alex Loyd) was born on August 7, 1927 in Stigler, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Stigler (OK), Loyd attended Oklahoma State University. Loyd made his professional debut in the NFL in 1950 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers for his entire 1 year career.
