Born on January 23, 1970 in The Dalles, Oregon, Alan Embree (Alan Duane Embree) played for the Cleveland Indians, Atlanta Braves, Arizona Diamondbacks, San Francisco Giants, Chicago White Sox, San Diego Padres, Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees over the course of his 13 year career. Embree broke into the bigs on September 15, 1992 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 4.19 ERA in 53.2 innings pitched in 1998, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Alan Embree's best season was 2002, when he posted a 2.18 ERA and struck out 81 batters.
