Al Wukits (Albert Robert Wukits) was born on December 16, 1918 in Millville, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Millvale (PA), Wukits attended Duquesne University. Wukits made his professional debut in the NFL in 1943 with the Philadelphia/Pittsburgh. He played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, chicago/pittsburgh and Philadelphia/Pittsburgh over the course of his 3 year NFL career.Wukits also played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the Miami Seahawks the entire time.
Most people believe that 1943 was Al Wukits's best year, as he ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
