Born on January 19, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois, Al Piechota (Aloysius Edward Piechota) played for the Boston Braves for his entire 2 year career. Piechota broke into the bigs on May 7, 1940 with the Boston Braves, and put up a 5.75 ERA in 61 innings pitched in 1940, his rookie year.
