Al Noga

Al Noga (Alapati Noga) was born on September 16, 1965. After going to high school at Farrington (Honolulu, HI), Noga attended the University of Hawaii, where in 1986 he became the first Hawaiʻi player to be named a first-team All-American by the Associated Press. He also was tabbed as the school's first Heisman Trophy candidate and an Outland Trophy finalist. His number 54 is retired at Hawaii. Noga made his professional debut in the NFL in 1988 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played for the Minnesota Vikings, Indianapolis Colts and Washington Redskins over the course of his 7 year career.
Noga played in the AFL for the San Jose Sabercats from 1996-1997, and with the Portland Forest Dragons in 1999.
Most people believe that 1989 was Al Noga's best year, as he recorded 11.5 sacks.
