Born on December 26, 1913 in Cleveland, Ohio, Al Milnar (Albert Joseph Milnar) played for the Cleveland Indians, St. Louis Browns and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 8 year career. Milnar broke into the bigs on April 30, 1936 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 5.00 ERA in 68.1 innings pitched in 1938, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Al Milnar's best season was 1940, when he posted a 3.27 ERA, won 18 games and struck out 99 batters.
