Born on July 18, 1918 in St. Joseph, Missouri, Al Lyons (Albert Harold Lyons) played for the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates and Boston Braves over the course of his 4 year career. Lyons broke into the bigs on April 19, 1944 with the New York Yankees.
