Al Bentzin (Alfred Ernest Bentzin) was born on March 7, 1902 in Watertown, Wisconsin. After going to high school at Marquette Academy (Milwaukee, WI) and Watertown (WI), Bentzin attended Marquette University. Bentzin made his professional debut in the NFL in 1924 with the Racine Legion. He played for the Racine Legion for his entire 1 year career.
