Adrian Peterson has torn LCL

According to head coach Brad Childress, Vikings RB Adrian Peterson has a torn Lateral Collateral Ligament in his right knee. The injury is not considered season-threatening, although he is highly unlikely to play this weekend against the Raiders.
This is unfortunate news for owners of All Day and football enthusiasts who appreciate watching him run. As an owner of Peterson (and Ronnie Brown), this news is devastating. Even when Peterson returns to the lineup, he will likely have a decreased load to protect him for next year since the Vikings have little hope for this season.
