Move over 30 Rock and the Office, the MLB on FOX is the new Must See TV. There was comedy, drama, action, music jus about everything you could ask for...oh yea and there was a pretty good game on too...Well heres my list of funniest moments in Game 5:
1. A graphic comes up showing Beckett's pitch count was at 73 pitches right after McCarver excitedly proclaims "Its amazing that he has 8 strikeouts in only 63 pitches."
2. 5 minutes after McCarver said Buck says "Beckett has retired 6 batters in a row." 5 seconds later Buck says "I'm sorry Beckett has retired 10 batters in a row.....third times the charm Beckett has retired 9 batters in a row."
3. The new Chevy commercials...One is where the girl runs down the street and into a car and then the commercial ends and theres another part she gets up and runs into it again. The other one is where the bank robbers run into the car the police come and run right into the bank and right past the robbers in the car and then they look puzzled and slowly drive away. idk why i found dem so funny maybe i was just glad it wasnt "This is ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuur country."
4. Joe Buck's disgust in Cleveland choosing Danielle Peck to sing the national anthem, he says "well on her website it CLEARLY has her in a Red Sox uniform."
5. The Lofton-Beckett incident Lofton tags at first and THEN runs at Beckett...gotta admire he finished the play first, but he was out but still odd.
6. The Grady play: not just the dive but the look on Gutierrez's face afterwards.
7. The Cleveland fan who was crying and wiping his tears with a Cleveland World Series towel....i found it ironic.
8. The puzzled look on Coco Crisp every time he's at bat...like he knows the commentators are talking about Ellsbury every time he hits.
9. The Papelbon dance...he uses that same glare for everything.
10. Whatever story McCarver was talking about with the bus and condo. I didn't even get what he was talking about but they were cracking up about it.
11. The Red Sox Bullpen to compete on The Next Great American Band on Oct.19th on FOX...they really had a graphic for it
12. In game 1 the scoreboard had both Cleveland and Boston in Red and since had Game 5 Cleveland changed to blue
13. Rafael Perez's outing he couldnt get a chance
