CANADA VS. USA IN 8 YR. OLD KIDS BENCH CLEARING HOCKEY BRAWL

Here is an article where a bench clearing brawl broke out in Canada, between Canadians and U.S. Mite hockey players.

Great article. Weird timing though. There are a bunch of neighbor kids going up to Canada to play a couple games. The name of the tourney is the Friendship tournament, lol.

I think that coach, if the allegations are true, should be kicked out of coaching forever. We all know there are many jack ass coaches in little league hockey. But this is second only to those two clowns that fought over little kids hockey, where the dude died on the ice in front of the kids.

My experience with American kids playing hockey in Canada, is the Canadians are polite enough to turn off the score board after they are up by ten. Then they give our kids a pizza party and a mini stick.

Canadians are great, hope this does not cause a rift in this friendship of fun hockey with our two countries little dudes.

Just in police say no charges are filed in the fight , the minor hockey league better able to make decision with team penalties.

Actually when it comes to hockey- especially the OHL- Americans can't compete what so ever with the what's set up Canada- I got a buddy who leaves in Ontario and another who lives in Michigan- both sy the same thing when it comes with these tournaments or set up games-- I think the maple syrup makes you stronger- or being a lumbar jack-

Okay, kids, let's not alienate the Canadians. After all, they are allies and some are great people to be around. Remember that little incident in Iran in the 1980s? It was the Canadians that got some of our people out of there, so whipping Canadian ass is out of the question. Jamel, it lumber, not lumbar. Oh No Romo, it's not okay to cheat in a chugging contest.

As for the situation, kids are great imitators of adults. If they see us doing something, then it must be okay for them to do it, especially at that age. Being a substitute teacher for 6 years makes you notice these things.

As for the adults... can't send them to time out. What should be done is that they should be banned from coaching. They didn't use commmon sense and it showed. At best, there should be charges filed because of a death that took place, if for nothing else, depraved indifference. Will there be emotional scars? More than likely. The physcial will heal.

I can see the hockey rivalry between the United States and Canada, but between 8-year-old kids? That's beyond reason. Whatever happened to sportsmanship?

And another thing, Canadians don't whip our American asses. In fact, they may still win more than half the time, but since we're their best competition, naturally we're their biggest hockey rival now as we hold up quite well against them. Remember the 1996 World Cup of Hockey.

The coaches AND kids need to be punished for this incident.
