Richard Childress Racing faced a great deal of distractions during the 2007 season, almost all of them sponsor related. Heading into 2008, they are returning all of their driver and crew chief combinations, and that should insure them some success throughout the upcoming season.
Kevin Harvick, #29, Pennzoil Chevy Harvick started the 2007 season strong by winning the Daytona 500. Nevertheless, the team was unable to cash in on that success and that was their only win throughout the year. RCR was a step behind the other super teams with their COT program, but after Clint Bowyer's COT win at Loudon, it looks like that is back on track. They also combined engine shops with DEI and that took some time to work all the kinks out. Now, all of these things are already together and RCR looks to make a stronger run at the 2008 Cup.
