Kenny Williams is proably going to need a very busy offseason to correct his team, but the White Sox are slowly starting to take steps in the right direction. With the recent signings of Jermaine Dye and Mark Buehrle, the White Sox have key parts of their roster figured out, but there is still alot of changes to happen on the south side.
1. Get Jose Contreras off the team somehow: Any way possible. Trade him for unknown minor leaguers if thats all Kenny Williams can get.
2. Trade Jon Garland and Alex Cintron for Rafeal Furcal and Hong-Chih Kuo: Furcal would be a huge upgrade at shortstop and as a leadoff hitter. Kuo brings more youth to the rotation.
3. Trade Joe Crede, Mike MacDougal, and Brian Anderson for Daniel Cabrera, and Jamie Walker: Walker will be a huge upgrade in the late innings and against lefties. Cabrera will make be a good number 3 starter in the rotation.
4. Trade Scott Podsednik and Matt Thorton for Frank Francisco and a quality prospect: Will add more depth to the bullpen and opens the door for Ryan Sweeney.
