Why should you draft Donovan McNabb: Last season, Donovan McNabb had 21 total touchdowns in just ten games. In fact, McNabb was able to throw for multiple touchdowns in all but two of his games in 2006, and he had four contests where he eclipsed 300 passing yards. This upcoming season, McNabb has the luxury or playing against primarily weak pass defenses, which could translate into a huge numbers for the Eagles signal caller.
Why you may want to stay away from drafting Donovan McNabb: McNabb has had difficulties recently in staying healthy. In fact, he has missed 14 games dating back to 2004. McNabb is currently trying to rebound from an ACL injury, which typically the entire recovery time takes at least one full year. Therefore, McNabb might not be at full strength for much of the 2007 season.
Bottom Line: McNabb is a high risk/high reward fantasy player, and owners should take caution when selecting him. If McNabb is able to stay healthy, he is clearly an upper echelon quarterback. If you decide to draft him, it would be wise to take a durable quarterback as your backup ala Brett Favre or Eli Manning.
